2008 Accomplishments

Our 5th year at FieldHaven was another successful year for the kitties in Lincoln and surrounding areas. We are proud of the work we're doing and we couldn't do it without your support. We adopted 103 adults and 156 kittens/teenagers to new forever homes this year; and 53 ferals were spayed and neutered and are living productive lives as Rodent Raiders. In addition, Our Community Assistance Team (CAT) assisted the community in finding homes for an additional 29 Courtesy Listing cats.

Our Spay/Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP) assisted the community in neutering 225 males and spaying 232 females through October, and the totals for the year are not even in yet. As a result of this effort, approximately 1,299 unwanted kittens will not be born in 2009. Keep in mind, that this is in addition to our FieldHaven adoptables, who are all spay and neutered prior to being adopted.

More Success Stories

Even FieldHaven volunteers find themselves falling in love with that "special" kitty - That's right! Joy Smith, Co-founder of FieldHaven, adopted a FieldHaven kitty over the holidays. In Joy's case, her adoption was of a kitty that was rescued on Christmas Eve 2003 and later found a perfect home. Unfortunately, his mom passed away this summer, and Casey and his siblings came to FieldHaven. By Christmas, Casey and his siblings were all in a loving home for the holidays. Read their story
